Last year, we hosted a celebration of the 5th anniversary of WDW Radio with a five hour online show. Set in the Magic Kingdom, the show featured Lou, Beci, Scott, Glenn, and Tony completing a variety of tasks that the listeners of WDW Radio suggested and voted upon. The show was great fun and a wonderful way to commemorate five years of the WDW Radio family.
This year, we are going to celebrate again! On Saturday February 9, 2013, the gang will reunite–this time in EPCOT! How will they spend their time during the live show that day? The choice, my friends, is YOURS!
We are asking YOU to submit ideas for this anniversary celebration. Should they greet cast members from six different countries in the World Showcase? Try six different sodas in Club Cool? How about share 6 Soarin’ Fast Passes with an unsuspecting guest?? YOU DECIDE! We need YOU to brainstorm fun (and unique!) ways for them to spend their time in EPCOT!! Suggestions can be submitted to anniversary@wdwradio.com by January 20, 2013. Submitted ideas will be evaluated for their feasibility and then put to a vote! (Need some inspiration?? For a list of some of the activities that were completed during last year’s event, click here.)
Then, on February 9, we will watch “in the box” as they race through EPCOT, trying to fulfill OUR goals for them, starting with the feat that had the most votes and moving right down the list! How many of OUR feats will they accomplish?
Are you going to watch? RSVP on our Facebook event page! You can also join us AFTER the challenge for the Meet of the Month at the Electric Umbrella in Epcot!
There will be, of course…. a catch! At some point during the show, they will face a “Road Block.” The most intriguing idea submitted by The Box (as deemed by a panel of judges) will be presented to the gang — and they MUST accomplish this road block before moving on.
If it is anything like last year, the day will be filled with fun and laughs, and undoubtedly a surprise or two along the way! We hope you can join us… and PLEASE send in suggested activities for the gang to complete while they are in EPCOT.
Nothing in the world is more powerful than the strength and togetherness of a family. We hope this special day will give us all the chance to spend with one another, virtually or in person, and celebrate the special bond we share. If you have any questions or ideas for this special day, please send me a note at Christy@WDWRadio.com
