Did you know that if you have trouble with the turn style fingerprint scanner at any Walt Disney World Theme Park there is a way to by-pass the fingerprint scanner? During my most recent trip to the Magic Kingdom I had difficulty getting my finger to scan at the main gate. A Cast Member quickly came over with an iPad and offered assistance. He gave me two options: 1. I could link my ticket/Annual Pass to one of my parent’s fingerprint or 2. They could take a picture with the iPad back camera and link it to my ticket/Annual Pass.
Option 1: This would be a great option if you are always with the same person when entering the parks. But in my case I was with my mom at Magic Kingdom and the next day I was going into Epcot with my dad.
Option 2: This option is better as it gives more flexibility when traveling with multiple people. Now that my picture is associated with my MagicBand I just need to let the CM know at the gate to call another CM with an iPad in order to have my picture pulled up.
