WDW Radio Tip of the Week: How To Utilize The My Disney Experience App

Let’s face it, love it or hate it, the My Disney Experience app is the future of how we will be making our Disney World vacations happen. The app can be hard to use and, just recently, they’ve added a number of new features to it, so I thought I would give you a quick run down of what the app can do and how to use it effectively.

The app allows you, among other things, to buy your tickets, buy Photopass/Memory Maker, reserve your meals and make FastPass+ reservations. You can link any tickets you have to the account as well as your resort reservations.

And all of that is before you set foot on Disney’s property.

While in the theme parks, you can check wait times, see which characters are available for Meet and Greets, see when the next show or parade is, see your Photopass photos and change any FastPass+ or meal reservations you have. Also, in the latest update, you can now order your food from the app from various restaurants on property. Right now, the only restaurant you can do this with is the Satu’li Canteen in Pandora but it has been announced that Pizzafari will soon be available. Also, it should be noted that they aren’t accepting the dining plan for mobile orders right now, but again, just give it time.

Have you found the My Disney Experience app to be helpful? What would you like to see it do in the future?
