WDW Tip of the Week – Saving Money at Disney’s Earport and Local Disney Stores

Your magical vacation at Walt Disney World has come to an end and you find yourself sitting at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) waiting for your flight home.  Then, it dawns on you that you forgot to get a little Disney item for a friend.  So, head on over to Disney’s Earport, located in the Hyatt Atrium pre-security, level 3, gates 60 – 129.  This store has Disney accessories, limited apparel, pins, plushes, and more.

How to save money at Disney’s Earport and local Disney Stores

A few years ago I discovered by chance that, as a WDW Annual Passholder, I was able to get a 20% AP discount at Disney’s Earport! All you have to do is ask for the discount and show your AP card and photo ID.  That simple!  Now every time I am at MCO, I stroll through Disney’s Earport looking for last minute items that I must bring home.

Also, after my last trip to WDW, I found myself in my local Disney Store at the mall, and I asked if I could get an Annual Passholder discount. (I always ask at WDW for discounts because you never know if a new one has been added to the list.) The Cast Member told me that, unfortunately, it was only available at the parks. But upon taking out my Disney Visa card by Chase, she told me I could receive a 10% discount. I was excited because at the parks you have to spend a minimum of $50 in order to receive the discount, I did not purchase that much that day. Win win!

Happy Shopping and Saving!

As a side note, MCO had a second Disney store called the Magic of Disney located near pre-security, level 3, gates 1 – 59.  This store closed in July 2018 in order for TSA to expand its services.  The store is scheduled to reopen in a new location at that side of the airport in Spring of 2019.
