Think you have found the best hot dog on property? Don’t forget to check out some of the specialty hot dogs offered at different spots around the parks.
Last summer, everyone seemed to be talking up the Viking Dog in Epcot’s Norway Pavilion. We heard claim after claim that it was “The Best” and definitely worth trying. Having the adventurous eaters that I do, my teenagers decided this food mission was one that needed further investigation. Would this hot dog live up to the hype? We had to find out.
The Viking Dog was a half-pound, all beef hot dog topped with red cabbage, fried onions, pulled pork, bacon, and spicy mayo all served on a soft bun. These flavors worked really well together, and this was probably the best hot dog we have had on property. Even though we are still not sure why this hot dog was considered a “Viking,” I don’t think anyone cared. It was delicious! For $11.75, it was a very large portion that was easily shared. We are all hoping they bring it back. Yes, it really was that good!
This March, Casey’s Corner is offering a well themed, “Corned Beef Hash All-Beef Foot Long Hot Diggity Dog. This hot dog is topped with crispy potatoes, corned beef, cabbage, onions, carrots, and of course, a lucky “Blarney Sauce” drizzle. This is served with your choice of french fries or apple slices for $13.49.
Remember…you can check out menus and skip the lines when you use mobile ordering on your My Disney Experience app!
