“Honey, please promise me this won’t mean the neighbors will be complaining about a Mickey topiary in the front yard.”
That was what the Dear Husband thought I might do after reading today’s Off the Shelf book. Silly him, Mickey’s already growing in the back yard!

Off the Shelf: Popping Up Around Walt Disney World

"Okay, what Disney book did you buy this time?"
That was my dear husband’s reaction to the Amazon.com box that arrived last week.
Hi, I’m Pat (hi, Pat), and I´m addicted to Walt Disney World. And since my credit card has an alert on it that will notify my DH if I purchase a one-way ticket to Orlando, reading books on Disney is a sanity-saver between visits.
Since it seems that lately there have been more tests of my sanity than usual, the bookshelf is overflowing and I’m in danger of being cut off if I don´t prove there is a good reason for having all these books. These are not professional reviews, so no stars or ears or other ratings systems. Just more of a casual look at the titles in my collection.

"Another Disney book?"
That was the sentiment recently exclaimed by my dear husband, who had just inquired about yet another Amazon.com or Borders books charge amount on the credit card statement.
I can´t help it, I´m addicted to Disney, and since we live in New York and not Florida, I have to get my fix somehow. Reading about Walt Disney World and the rest of the Mouse´s empire helps pass the time between trips south.
Luckily for me (and my Disney Rewards Visa® card), there is no shortage of reading material out there. But in order to justify these purchases to my husband (who is also miffed because I keep moving his precious science fiction books to squeeze in yet another volume with Disney in the title), I called them "research" and now have to prove I was serious. These are not professional reviews, so no stars or ears or other ratings systems. Just more of a casual look at the titles in my collection.
